Welcome everyone. I have been very busy with my art and design projects this summer. It’s a good thing that I have this to fill my time because I have been chopping at the bit to repaint some furniture and ready Shabby Lane Cottage for Fall. I told myself that I had to wait a few weeks. It’s just still too hot outside and I don’t want people in my neighborhood to think I am crazy when I start hanging Fall wreaths on the front door! Alas, I have beautiful neighbors! Hi Susan and Kim! They know I can be little crazy at times.
I had the opportunity to go junk’n a while back with my sweet friend Susan, I wanted to share with you what my friend found and what she did with her find.
She bought this great shelf with three drawers at a thrift shop. It was in pretty rough shape and Susan turned it into a beauty. This hangs on the wall by her doorway. Susan loves color and I think that she incorporates it into her home with lots of charm and beauty. Crowning the shelf is my art work “King of the Forest”, which is now available through my Etsy Shop.
This piece is one that Susan has updated with light blue paint and white country knobs. Putting up a curtain covers her storage items and adds a romantic touch to her kitchen.
This is another great piece that Susan has in her kitchen. She has antiqued it with a sea foam green paint to add some depth and color to the ivory paint. I love the tiles on the back of the hutch. It’s so whimsical and charming. Thank you Susan for letting me share a little of your lovely cottage!
Please stop by and check out my watercolor paintings at Etsy Anne’s Attic – design There is something for everyone and much more to come! Many of these can be made into note cards as well. They all ad a Shabby Chic Countrycharm to your home. Sizes range from 8×10, 11×14, bigger if requested. I also take requests and suggestions on images that you like and color. Coming this Fall will be a collection of Barns, Forest Animals, BoHo art, Trucks filled with pumpkins etc., Angel Art, Barnyard Animals, Magical Art, Rose collection, and much much more. So please stop by for a visit and share with your family and friends. Email me for questions.
Because of my disabilities I am unable to work out of the home and this helps to bring in a little extra that I need.
I will be soon adding to my shop handmade jewelry! Coming soon!

I am so happy to hear you are making jewelry and art! The angel wing piece looks lovely. I love getting peeks into other people’s home. The tile on the hutch really sets off the colorful dishes! Have fun with your new venture and enjoy doing what you love to do–too many people live and make their living on other people’s terms.
PS-I already have a big bag of new fall décor ready to go -not that I need one more Halloween decoration!

Thank you Phyllis for you encouragement! Sometimes you have to dig deep down to find talents that you never knew that you had. That’s what I am doing. I can’t believe that I am selling art at someone else’s request! This talent has come very late in life for me but I will take it.
Just think once we start to decorate for Fall it is non stop until Spring! Yeah!
