Happy Birthday to the USA and Canada!
I want to announce the opening of my new blog Healing Wings! https://healingwingsblog.wordpress.com/
Several years ago a sweet blogging friend was helping me through some deeply troubling times and she made the comment that she could see me one day helping others who had been through the same tough times that I had been going through. I remember thinking me! No way. Thank you sweet Kris from Junk Chic Cottage blog for helping me see that I still had good inside of me. Now, it’s me that is counciling and helping others through light and energy sessions from the special spiritual gifts that I have been givien. I never thought I would ever be on the other side of this time in my life, but I got through it a changed women! Stronger, with much more wisdom.
At Healing Wings blog I share my spiritual journey. If you are interested in spiritual things then you will want to follow along as I share many spiritual experiences that I have had in the past as I have dealt with narcissistic abuse.
If you are sensitive, have a great deal of empathy for others and have always seemed to know before the door bell rings then you may be a sensitive empath like myself. I never felt comfortable sharing my spiritual experiences until now and that’s because the spirit said that it is time. You will feel nothing but love and light from my posts and how to develope your gifts even if you don’t think you have them.
You do! We all do!
Now, some people may think that I am a little crazy to refinish a piece of furniture that is brand new. lol I bought a lovely hutch a couple of years back and never really like the look of it because it was just too shiny and new. Have you ever had that problem?
Can you see what I mean about the perfectness of this piece. I just have to have some chippiness in it. I used the same process that I always do. For those of you who are new here is the link to a post for adding the perfect distress to any piece of furniture.
Refinishing the hutch didn’t cost me a dime I already had the paint and the wallpaper was pieces that I have saved gifted from a friend. The backing fabric is from an old Simply Shabby Chic quilt that I tore apart. I save many things like this because I know that I will use them again.
I love how it turned out and I am so comfortable with it now and love changing up the decor to make her beautiful! Plus, she fits in with the rest of my furniture.
Here is a close up of the wood and the wall paper. I used Mod Podge to glue the wallpaper on. You can see that I left some of the drips and that there is a lot of texture.
I really love how the backing turned out. I will inter change the backing from time to time. It is fun to change colors up depending on the season.
I hope that you are all enjoying your 4th of July holiday!
