A fellow blogger has ask for some help in a charitable way. Her name is Vicki from 2 Bags Full. If you don’t know Vicki yet then you are missing out. She is a very wonderful lady with a heart of gold. Vicki is helping to sponsor a charitable project called the “Kindness Quilt”. She is asking for us to use our creative skills in helping. What can be more fun that! Serving and crafting at the same time!
Vicki is asking for us to make quilt blocks that are 6″ X 6″. Like the sample picture above, you can make them any way you want. These quilts will go to ladies around the globe who are going through really tough times and need some comfort.
Imagine feeling overwhelmed, fighting for your life or someone you love, depressed and alone with your pain, then you receive one of these quilts in the mail. I can’t imagine the joy and love that will flow because of it. I know that when I was going through a huge ordeal in my life that something like this would have been a huge bright spot. Instead I went through most of it alone.
Vicki will put all of the blocks together and get it ready. All we have to do is to make some 6″ X 6″ blocks, you can make as many as you like, and then all you do is to send them to Vicki. Vicki’s address is at her blog. I am personaly going to send many through the year (See her post for the time alotment).
I pray that you are saying yes to this project, please pop over to Vicki’s blog and read the post with all of its instruction, which are not many. There will be a giveaway as well! All you really have to do is use your creative juices on quilt blocks. As you see from above you can knit them crochet them, any way you choose. Gather your friends and family and get them involved. Gather around the kitchen table and make an afternoon of it or several afternoons. The more blocks that are made the more quilts there will be to send.
Please pray that the quilts will go to the right person. Making it a matter of pray puts it in the Lord’s safe hands.
These great totes will be given away. You will be entered with each block that you make.
Please dig down in your hearts and find the time to give to this amazing cause. As always when we give to others it comes back to us three times full. Just click below to view Vicki’s blog 2 Bags Full. Spread the word!

What a fabulous cause Jo! Our quilt guild always makes quilts and donates them to Primary Children’s hospital. Working on a couple blocks for that now. I will be sure and join in with Vicki’s
cause as well. Thanks for letting us know about it. Love the bird block!

Oh these are so darling. The little bird, the tea pot, such acts of patience and kindness! This reminds me of the painstaking hours of love my mom put into my clothing as a child, a teen, and even for my Barbie dolls when I was small. How adorable! May God richly bless the creator and recipient of these masterpieces! And NOW I RECOGNIZE YOU! You are from Carol’s Art and Sand parties! HUGS TO YOU!
