Shopping Etsy

I have had some great experiences shopping Etsy’s Independent Shops and have made some beautiful relationships with their owners.  I have shared in the past some of the shops that I enjoy and today I want to share with you a few more shops that I love.

The first shop that I ever purchased from was Anne Marie from Na Na’s Things. Much later I found out that Na Na’s Things was a blogger that I got to know  at Musings of a Vintage Junkie. I bought a feed bag from her and another blogger ask if she could share what I had made out of my feed bag and Anne Marie saw it and then commented on my blog that she had sold a bag just like the one I had. Come to find out she was Na Na! The world can be so small sometimes.

I stitched around the feed sack and made a pillow out of it. I used the back side of the bag to cover the seat of a chair.

There are so many great projects you can do with feed sacks. Perhaps you are looking for some interesting vintage items for your home.

A shout out to Anne  Marie and her great Etsy Shop !

shopping together

Another wonderful shop is Rose Petal Blessing by a very sweet blogger Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose blog.  I was looking for some decorative towels to display in my kitchen and bathroom, I wanted towels that were in the lovely soft colors of my home and with some lovely feminine decor on them. I new right away that I wanted to visit Stephanie’s Etsy shop because she designs such lovely shabby chic handmade items.

I had a lovely choice of what I wanted. It was so hard to decide because everything she has is so wonderful. I chose these beautiful towels above. They are so beautifully sewn and designed, they look so lovely in my home.

When I opened the package to my surprise there was three lovely wrapped packages.

shopping many

Two of the packages were the beautiful towels, in a darling sack Stephanie sent me some beautiful lovely items. She is an amazing blogging friend.

A special shout out to Stephanie and Rose Petal Blessings Etsy shop.

safe top

I want to share one more Etsy shop with you and that is CP from Neat Old Stuff Etsy. I got my lovely Jeanne d’Arc living hat boxes and every month I get my Jeanne d’Arc magazine from her – which I can’t live without. lol   Take the time to check out these lovely shops to find something for your nest.

Bread Box

I have a wonderful retro enamel bread box for sale at my Etsy shop. It is great shape and would look amazing in any kitchen. Great for storage.

Anne’s Attic – design Etsy shop.

Thank you for visiting!

  1. Like many bloggers, I buy and sell items on Etsy. All my experiences have been super, and I’ve been pleased with all my purchases. I have had some not so great experiences on Amazon…so I pretty much stick to independents or people on Etsy for my purchases. Thanks for the pump up for Etsy, Sandi Your shop is so much fun…too…love the bread box, grins.

  2. Hi Jo me too, I love etsy, I have been purchasing from them ever since they opened. Matter of fact a shelf I just had custom made appears on my newest post. I love supporting small independent merchants. From jewelry to linen bedding to art. Etsy is delightful.

  3. Jo, I am familiar with both Ann Marie and Stephanie. Both are fabulously talented gals! I remember and loved your feed sack project. I hate to say that I stay away from etsy. I think it’s a fabulous place, but I have so much and I figure if I don’t see it I don’t yearn for it. lol! Love what you have purchased!

    • Hi Jann, I think if I was out and about as much as you are I wouldn’t be so active on Etsy lol (sure wish I had a car) then if I did I would probably be in trouble quite often. lol But for me it is the convenience that it gives me, with it coming right to my door. Having the shop now gives me access to many vintage finds. I like the fact that if I am tired of a piece then I can exchange it at my shop. But If I am looking for something particular like pink toe shoes then I am in. lol Have a wonderful Easter my friend and thank you for your wonderful hard work on SYC! It has really grown. xx Jo

  4. Oh Jo, you are simply the sweetest and I am honored to be mentioned on your blog among such beautiful Etsy shops….THANK YOU! You, my dear friend, are such a sweet blessing and I am so grateful to have you in my life. I truly appreciate the shout out and please know that you have touched my heart in a beautiful way.

Enjoy your towels {{smiles}} Much love to you!

    • My sweet friend, I have found support through blogging friends like you when I couldn’t find them around me at home. I find that sometimes not being so involved in person connects us in a way that we can help those out in cyber space. Last Fall I went through some pretty tough times and you were there as well as others, the wonderful emails were so healing and helped me make tough decisions. We have know way of knowing sometimes how we affect others lives with one simple word. Thank you for being you! Love ya, Joanne

  5. I’m back again….
Jo I just checked out Stephanie’s and Ann Marie’s etsy stores, sweetness and treasures galore. I know them from their posts and respect and enjoy their writings and photos. It’s amazing how many bloggers have an etsy shop, I have one but only sold vintage garden tools many years ago. Cyber market places are how I prefer to shop.
    Wishing you a blessed Easter.
    Bunny kisses,

  6. Oh my! I was so surprised to see my name when I clicked on your blog!! I am so excited to be included in your favorite Etsy shops and you have made my day. I love Stephanie’s sweet shop and I must go check out Neat Old Stuff. I do a lot of shopping on Etsy because there is no where else to find such unique stuff!

  7. I forgot to mention that I just love the seat cover you made from the back of the feed sack. I love what you did for the pillow but I had not seen that! Also I am drooling over the bread box. Too bad my kitchen has no counter space for it!

  8. I enjoyed the idea on the feed sack material! I, also, checked out some of the wonderful Etsy shops you shouted out about and have clicked ‘favorite shop’ for them. ‘ I have, also, checked out their blogs, which look wonderful and hope to have time to get back to them over spring break this coming week! Have a joyful Easter! Happy Easter to everyone else out there, too!!

    • Hi my sweet blogging friend. I know that you will enjoy them as much as I do. Have an amazing Easter weekend. Hope you are receiving some sunshine. I have to pretend that we have sunshine because it has been snowing, and it is said that we will have it all weekend. Oh well, if April comes in like a lion then it will go our like a lamb. lol Hope hope! xx Jo
