Fall is my favorite time of year. Second is winter, I know that many of you don’t like to hear that but it is. It’s time for life to calm down a bit and to enjoy the comforts of home.
I am a little late at getting my Fall photos out because until about a week ago Utah had temps in the 90’s. But after a long week of rain and cooler temperatures I could see the beautiful reds and oranges popping out on the mountains behind my house. I took advantage of a quiet Saturday and went for my annual Autumn walk about, collecting beauty’s that Mother Nature leaves behind. Like acorn, thistle, berries, pods and cones of all sorts. I love to use these in my Fall vignettes.
Sit back with your favorite cup and enjoy the Autumn Magic in my little nest.
Welcome to my sweet nest.
I want to send a special thank you to Jann from Have a cup with Mrs. Olson for the thoughtful gift of this sweet owl mug filled with packets of tea. Jann this came in so handy 2 days after the party because I came down with the flue! Thank you, thank you my sweet friend!
I hand made all of the velvet pumpkins last year. Here is the post on how to make them.
In the Fall I love to pull out my small collection of copper ware. It fits right into the season with it’s gorgeous color.
Switching out pillow covers is a favorite for me. It really adds flare for the time of the year that you are decorating for. My new old sofa is not ready. I just need to stay well enough to complete it. lol
I love putting out my crows for Fall, they are everywhere here near my home and if you talk back to them, they will talk right back to you. The ones outside that is. lol
I like to use my dried roses in bouquets it gives them a little feminine touch. Burlap brings a lot of texture into vignettes this time of year.
I hope that you enjoyed my little tour of Autumn vignettes.
If you enjoyed my post I would love to have you pin the collage above and join me on Pintrest.
I want to give a very special thank you to my dear friend Kris from Junk Chic Cottage. She sent me a box of things that is a crafter’s delight. Kris is so thoughtful and such a lovely friend. Thank you Kris! You can probably see some of your things you sent in the photos.
See you soon for my bedroom reveal! Finally! lol
Hugs, Jo

I love the idea of the pumpkins in the flower pots. I was wondering how to fill in the space on the side of my house where I had beautiful begonias in flower pots that are now withered. I will just leave the flower pots where they are and place a pumpkin in it-easy peasy until Christmas comes out! Of course, there will be a lighted Halloween pumpkin or two on little haystacks. However, the 90 degree days in Delaware need to go away, so I can get in the mood! Thanks for the inspiration and stay well.

Jo, you have been a busy lady. Is every nook and cranny filled with Autumn splendor? I’m quite speechless to say the least. Let’s begin with your amazing Autumn chalk art . . . (are you for hire?) and then the little details of adding a simple bit of lace to the stem of a pumpkin, talk about magic. I missed you last year so I was thrilled to pull up your DIY velvet pumpkins, which your choice of blue is fabulous. It’s quite evident the tender loving care that you put into making your home a place of beauty and art. Thank you for sharing.
