AUTUMN MAGIC

Fall is my favorite time of year. Second is winter, I know that many of you don’t like to hear that but it is. It’s time for life to calm down a bit and to enjoy the comforts of home.

I am a little late at getting my Fall photos out because until about a week ago Utah had temps in the 90’s. But after a long week of rain and cooler temperatures I could see the beautiful reds and oranges popping out on the mountains behind my house. I took advantage of a quiet Saturday and went for my annual Autumn walk about, collecting beauty’s that Mother Nature leaves behind. Like acorn, thistle, berries, pods and cones of all sorts. I love to use these in my Fall vignettes.

Sit back with your favorite cup and enjoy the Autumn Magic in my little nest.

  1. Jo a rich in color and warm tour of you sweet nest for Fall. Autumn is my favorite season too and just today I posted a touch of fall in our home. Sorry to hear you were ill last week with the flu. I had a cold last week but certainly not the flu you poor sweet friend.

  2. Jo, your Autumn décor certainly is magical! Loved every little thing! So sorry to hear that you got the flu!! The little owl mug looks right at home in your nest. You are such a thoughtful and sweet friend! So happy that I have got to hang with you twice now. I received the book and magazines today and loved them. Will start reading the book tomorrow. So glad that you will be sharing this post with SYC.

    • Hi Jann, I’m so glad that you received them in one piece, sometimes you never know. When I got home from the party I saw that book and something said Jann would like this. I loved my trip to New England, something about going at that time of year is so amazing. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Jo

  4. I love the idea of the pumpkins in the flower pots. I was wondering how to fill in the space on the side of my house where I had beautiful begonias in flower pots that are now withered. I will just leave the flower pots where they are and place a pumpkin in it-easy peasy until Christmas comes out! Of course, there will be a lighted Halloween pumpkin or two on little haystacks. However, the 90 degree days in Delaware need to go away, so I can get in the mood! Thanks for the inspiration and stay well.

  6. I have the same vintage style mailbox that I ordered from Antique Farnhouse a while back. It’s been hanging on my wall with nothing in it because I just couldn’t find anything that looked right. I loved what you did with it! It’s perfect! Thank you so much for a great idea!

  11. Jo, you have been a busy lady. Is every nook and cranny filled with Autumn splendor? I’m quite speechless to say the least. Let’s begin with your amazing Autumn chalk art . . . (are you for hire?) and then the little details of adding a simple bit of lace to the stem of a pumpkin, talk about magic. I missed you last year so I was thrilled to pull up your DIY velvet pumpkins, which your choice of blue is fabulous. It’s quite evident the tender loving care that you put into making your home a place of beauty and art. Thank you for sharing.
