Yup it’s time. I love to do give a ways. The only thing is that I wish I could give you all one! This give a way is a thank you all for visiting my blog and supporting my new Etsy Shop, Anne’s Attic – design. In a few weeks I will be adding a lot of my handmade items to my shop. give a way rachel

For some reason I bought two of these books and so I thought that I would use one for a give a way.

give a way front page

Please forgive me for having my little water mark on the inside page. I did that before I realized I had two of them. lol

give a way joey flower

You will also receive one of my Joey flowers to decorate your home. I wanted to celebrate women so I thought that giving a way a wonderful shabby feminine book and a shabby flower would be very appropriate.  I see all of you out there in blog land and also through your comments on just how hard you try to make your homes beautiful and inviting. I salute you all for your hard work.

Give a way Collage

Please pin this to share the give a way with others.

To enter I ask that you follow my blog by email. I am also available on Face Book, Pinterest,  Twitter, Hometalk. Please leave me a comment about how you use a little Shabby Chic in your home. Now I totally understand that we have men that are a little uncomfortable with lacy things, but a little doesn’t hurt them especially if it is combined with some great chippy decor, and it tells the world that he has a lovely feminine partner. Right? Just remind me in your comment that you follow my blog, and you are entered!

You can enter until 12:00 a.m. August 30, 2015.

I will announce the winner on September 1, 2015.

Please take the time to pin the collage to give others a chance to enter.

Have a fabulous weekend me friends!

lots of hugs Jo

  1. What a wonderful give a way!! I follow your blog by email and love it!! I need to check out your Etsy acct. I have a lot of shabby chic signs and furniture and my hubby just rolls with it, lol.

  2. What a great way to end the summer with a give-a-way! I use shabby chic décor in my bedroom because I love the cottagey, romantic feel it creates and your blog has been such an inspiration to me! I am not sure what the rest of my house is, but I can describe it as, perhaps, ‘shabby castle’ (stone gothic mantles, tapestries, French wine art lithos, wood trim, cast iron/ stone décor and pre-Raphaelite artwork). However, it all seems to create a cozy and romantic style that works together-now if I can only get to all the projects you have inspired! Thank you for all your inspiration and positive spirit!

  3. Sweet friend, what a lovely giveaway! But before I get into that let’s talk about those items you will be listing in your store 🙂

I have always loved the book garland that I have seen in your pictures so I am thrilled that you will be selling some. And the Joey flowers are stunning! Oh, I can’t wait until you have your new pretties in your shop.

Now back to the giveaway…. I would love to be entered, Jo. To have one of your flowers would be a blessing and the book looks simpy delightful. My husband is very “manly” so our living room is done in a woodsy theme, but to soften it up I have added cream doilies here and there, vintage books, and old quilts. And of course my dining room is full of linens, lace, and tea cups 🙂

Thanks again, sweet friend. Have a great weekend!

    • Well my sweets, your wish may come true. I just need to go to the post office and send you a little surprise. Let me know when it come! Good luck on the drawing. If you like something in my shop just email me and we can do some trading. Hugs, Jo

  4. Love your blog – you are so very talented!!! Everything makes my heart sing!
I love old things–chippy paint, rose anything–it’s all good and makes me happy!!
Thank you for an end of summer give away!!!

    • Cindy, the best part of my blog is you the followers. We all have something in-common with our decorating and I love that. Nothing like a beautiful and inviting home. It makes me fill so good about myself. Good luck on the give a way! Jo

  5. what a great giveaway! I love the items that you’ll be selling in your etsy shop too. I love the shabby chic look and i would say the way I use it the most in my home is with white slipcovers and white walls. I like that to be the foundation for everything else I do in my home. I am now a follower of your blog through email.

  6. What a sweet give away Jo. I would love that book I actually do not have that one. I have all her books but this one so this is awesome for a chance at it and I love your joey flowers I would pin that on one of my pillows so charming and cute and made with love. Thanks for the chance.

    • Kris you are welcome! Do you remember that I sent you one of my Joey flowers when you had your surgery, maybe just maybe you will have another one to set beside it! I so wished that I could send a book and flower to all of my blogging buddies. Oh well, it’s in my heart right? Have a lovely day. Jo

  7. Hi Jo, you are so thoughtful to be giving such a great giveaway. That is my kind of book. I have a certain amount of shabby chic as my home is a Victorian. A good friend of mine from years ago, and she happened to be a decorator, told me that when she was learning her craft the teacher told her that a feminine bedroom is made to order for a male as that is the room he associates the most with you. I took her at her word and I think she was right. He has stuck around for almost 55 years..Happy Friday..Judy

  8. Jo,
What a nice giveaway! I don’t own the interiors one. I didn’t realize you had an etsy store, I will check it out, I always enjoy your delightful transformations to pieces. Your work is amazing. Today I’m ending my month blogging break and returning later this afternoon with a reveal of our renovation projects and a share. Hope you will check it out. I surely missed everyone.

    • Hi Vera! Welcome back! You have been missed. You are now entered in the give a way, I just wish I could give one to everyone. Maybe some day I will me a trillionaire and be able to do that. lol Looking forward to your post. Hugs, Jo

  9. I have been following your blog for a while now and continue to enjoy everything you do. It makes my day when I get an email with a new post. I love all that you manage to create within a small space. You never let it stop your creative process.

  10. I now have my own craft room and I am decorating it in shabby chic. I would love to win this book and your flowers are fantastic. Thank you so much for the giveaway.

  11. Hi Jo…I just recently started following your blog through KerryAnn. It think it’s beautiful! What an exciting give away! I would hang your Joey Flower on the lampshade in my bedroom. It’s ultra shabby chic in that room!! and it would fit right in! Thank you for offering such a great treasure.
    Have a wonderful weekend.
I just signed up for post notification via email.*

  12. Oh how I hear you about mistakenly purchasing a book a second time – done that, own that particular t-shirt (several times over actually). It’s even worse when you purchase THREE (not that I would ever have done that…no, no moi). Now I have a list in my computer and I check it before I buy a book – sure has saved me a lot of money since I started doing that. I don’t follow you via email, sorry to say….I use a feed called ‘Inoreader’ instead.

  13. Thanks for offering the give a way. I found you accidently, but so glad I did. Your place is so sweet and inviting. I have a lot of primitives, which I love, shabby chic is mixed in with them.. I really like your flowers,
will be looking for them in your shop.. Good luck with that, I hope you do well. Thanks so much for your presence on the web.

  14. Such a great giveaway Jo! And so sweet of you too. I wanted to say how much I enjoyed your post on creating vignettes. I love using my vintages find through out the house to create a unique look too. They put such a personal stamp on a home, don’t they?

  15. I have no idea what Shabby Chic is, but I bet it’s pretty. I don’t have a creative bone in my body, but I appreciate other ladies like you who do. I signed up for your blog. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your giveaway with the #homemattersparty. We’re glad to have you.

  16. Jo, love your joey flowers and the book looks fabulous! I will put the give away pin on my side bar. I just know that your etsy shop will be a big hit! Good for you girl and thanks for offering the give away. I was thinking the other day that it had been quite a while since I did one. May need to look for something fun.

  17. just found you via vintage inspiration party and may i say i love love your joey flowers, i am not a blogger but i do read blogs and i just signed up for yours via email, rachel is one of my favorite decorators, my daughter bought me one of her comforters years ago and it is still on my bed every summer…i live on a small ss check so i guess i look at so many blogs so i can dream ha ha because i can’t afford to buy, just found oops paint at lowes and painted my bedroom a gray by mixing the two $7 paints together lol anyway as i blab on and on i would love love to have a joey flower i have the perfect place for it thanks xx

    • Chris I am so glad that you are following along! I to live on a SS check so I find many many inexpensive ways to decorate my home. I hope that I can inspire you with some of those ways through my blog. Have an amazing evening. Jo

  18. I just started following your blog. I have often stopped by to admire things here. 🙂 My home is not very shabby chickish . Though I LOVE the style. 🙂 I dream of decorating it that way someday. I have a BEAUTIFUL bag that I ordered recently from Stephanie at THE Enchanting Rose and I love the shabby chic look it has. Thanks for the chance to win. My daughter would LOVE a book garland. I will keep that in mind for her birthday.

    • Nikki I am so happy that you are following along! My home has evolved over the years, at one time it was very primitive, then cabinish, then Shabby Chic. But OI still love the rustic look so I am adding French Nordic design to it, a little at a time and a lot of painting. You are entered in the give a way, good luck! Jo

  19. Am following your blog and would love a chance to win. I love rachael ashwell and have a different bookmby her and would love to win this one to go with it. I have incorporated shabby in all my decor, i love it!

  20. I started to follow before i saw this…wow, what a wonderful idea. Your shop is a great start too, anxious to see what more you put in it. Etsy has been a wonderful venue for me.
Shabby—I dont’ think of it as shabby, but worn with love, and my house is full of it!
So glad I found you out here in blogland!

  21. I sure enjoy your blog and look forward to each installment! I’ve always loved rustic, cottage, shabby/chic, eclectic, etc. I know I’m prob not your usual follower since I’m a guy but I’ve always enjoyed design and my wife appreciates my efforts. I especially love when you share how you attain a certain look. I’m actually getting ready to try my hand at a set of shutters for our dining room inspired by your shutter post. I’m also really into chalk painting furniture as of late. It’s addicting lol. Thanks again for all your inspirational ideas and I look forward to more!

    • Kevin I am thrilled that you are enjoying my blog! You remind me of my son. He does all the decor in his house, his wife does not enjoy that part. So I find it wonderful that you are being so creative in your home! I appreciate your comment. This blog is for anyone that want a more beautiful and inviting home, that means you. I’m looking for more comments from you, love them. Have a awesome day and good luck with the shutters. Jo

  22. I hope I am leaving my comments in the right place…I have just discovered your blog and LOVE it! I’ll now be SURE to follow your blog, as I can see I’ll learn lots. I usually use
Shabby Chic in my office/craft room, which is peach and cream with a little pink. I SO enjoy being in here to create! BUT, I have LOTS to learn about decorating in a shabby chic style combined with farmhouse too. We live on a horse farm we call “Misty Meadows,” which we waited to find for 30 years!! We are so happy here with our 4 horses, which includes an old pony for our grandkids. 🙂 Thanks for the tips on redoing boxes and shutters, too, and for a chance to win a wonderful prize! I’ve pinned your Giveaway to share with others – what a great gift you’re giving, too. I’m just learning what your “joey” flowers are, and that’s exciting and interesting. Bye for now!

I love to read your comments. Thank you!
