Hello all my dear blogging friends and visitors I am so glad that you are here today. I want to share with you some of the best junk’n finds that I got last year.
Etsy is one of my go to online stores for unusual junk’n finds. That is were I found two of my food scales. The one above still had rocks and dirt rattling around on the inside of it. The owners had just found it in an old barn.
This scale still had a lot of patina on it. The color was just right.
I love this little girl she came from a Etsy shop as well. I did paint get a cream color to fit in.
This charming wicker desk I found at a goof will store for $20 bucks. The paint was perfect and it had great bones. It is now my new bed side table.
Here is a great vintage chair that I got from good will. It’s called a heart back chair. I originally had painted it lavender with a green and pink flower cushion on it. This time I wanted to try something different.
I covered the seat in an old vintage feed sack, it was so easy all I did was fold it like wrapping a package then stabled the bottom.
I painted her a chippy white.
She sits in my bedroom. Don’t you just love the lace of the bag next to the stained and roughness of the feed sack next to each other?
I have two of these wicker end tables, I really junked for them right out side the garbage can at a neighbors door. I just yelled over to ask if I could save them from the trash man, and they said please! I had sprayed them a robin blue to start with but as my design started to change closer to french Nordic design they were ready for a change.
I hand painted them white. By hand painting them the paint with a brush and flat paint it gave much more of the patina that I desire in my home.
This is my favorite chair to sit and sew or watch TV. But the wood around it just didn’t fit in and the fabric is bursting at the seams and thinning. So I painted the wood trim with a white flat paint.
Here she is all done up. I was going to chalk paint her but I have found out that it is uncomfortable to sit on. But yesterday I found a new way to paint it that suppose to make it fill like soft leather. I’ll keep you informed on that later.
I really love to make table runners out of burlap, cotton and tulle… I have used other fabrics as well but these colors work best for my color palette. I use the white and light caramel burlap.
This shows the edges better. If you want to see my tutorial on it just click here I save the best for last. My beautiful tin bread basket in BLUE. She is from an Etsy shop as well. If you would like to know what shops I use I can get you the links, just email me. They have so much to look at. I even use them for inspiration.
I could show you a lot more of my finds but it would have taken up to much time.Have a very lovely Tuesdays dear friends.
Hugs,
Jo

Wow some great finds, isn’t Etsy expensive? I love the scales since I have a few myself! Love the chairs and the larger one looks like a chair you would never want to leave!
