Chalk Board Sign

Welcome! This coming weekend is so very special I hope that all of you have special plans with loved ones in you life. Today I want to share with you a redo that I have been working on.

chalk before

This darling chalk board was one of the items that my neighbors have to me. I was so excited because I had been wanting one. The only thing that I needed to do was change the color. I liked the way that it is two-sided and stands on its own.

chalk joy

Here it is all done up with a soft blue paint.

I can either stand it or lean it against the wall.

chalk counter

I put chalk board labels on all of my glass canisters to give that cute chalk board effect.

chalk bottle fabric

Here I added some fabric to a couple of jars for color. Kind of fun.

chalk kids

I just have to share with you a picture of four of my grands that I live with.  This was last Sunday all beautiful right after church. It was pretty warm that day and they would only let me take a few pictures. This is how they started out.

Now their done. They had posed enough for one day. I guess I am done to. I sincerely hope you all have a beautiful Easter weekend.

Hugs,

Jo

  1. I love that tone of blue-it’s so spring-like, like a Robin’s egg! The message of choosing joy is a good one, too. It’s just the message I needed today. The grandchildren are adorable, esp. the little one with the pretty purple bow on her head. Have a joyous Easter!

  2. You have such a sweet group of grands – so far we only have one, but we’re hoping for more. Your chalk board is a treasure – much prettier in blue than as it was.

  3. Love that chalkboard, and what a cute way to use it as a grocery list! Of course being versatile, you could use it just about anywhere, even to advertise a garage sale, lol! The pictures of your grandkids are darling! Have a blessed weekend 🙂

  4. Love the sign Jo! I have one similar that I usually put out on the front porch. I haven’t written on it yet for Spring. Need to do that. The kids are too cute! I remember my own kids doing the same thing. Have a blessed Easter! I’m visiting while watching conference.
